I enjoy these forums if you can find the good threads but I do agree that spamming from new members who want hosting is a problem. There are so many pointless threads full of one lined responses. Perhaps if you make the requirement for getting web hosting a certine lenght of time as an active member rather than just a post count this may soften the problem (just a suggestion).

That's a good idea, and we've actually discussed it sometime ago. I can't remember if we simply rejected it though. Anyway, some people can't understand they only gotta post 25 good posts to get free hosting. That's a very clear, simple rule and some people still don't get it!

I think if we rule that members should post, let's say, 25 messages during 5 days, they still won't get it. They'll keep posting like crazy for an hour, answering every question they can, and then asking for free hosting just as they reach 25. But like I said, it's a great idea. Too bad some people don't care about reading the TOS...

Yea, that's a major problem with free hosting. People expect stuff, then get mad when we don't give them it. People need to read the word FREE better.

Hmm... yes i'm going to request hosting when I get my 25 post but I plan to stay active, i'm very active in my other webhost forums (I came here though because they have a 250KB file upload size limit)... even though we aren't required to I just prefer to

Anyways if people just come here get 25 post request hosting and leave then why don't you make it so that people are required to get 15 post per month or something?
