The Microsoft video editing software are complete crap. Just download a free trial of Adobe Premiere and see for your self.

Even though Adobe Premier is great, WMM has everything amateur needs. For simple tasks (example: getting sequences from long movies) WMM is absolutely perfect.
For advance users, I also recomend Premier. I got him for couple of years, too.

I already told that everyone using WMM can get any sequence of any movie. Later, it's also easy to put this parts toghether and make new movie.

NOTE: Only one problem here. No effects can be made by addinf some extra frames between two parts. Or atleast, I think so...

i think u should go for primere its more advance and helpfull for such a task . first install the software then import ur movies in bin folder and then transfer them to the timeline and finally cut them using razor tool.

I agree with you, but the guy asked: Can it be done with WMM? And I told him YES. There is no doubt about which WMM or Premier are better. (Certainly Premier)

The Movie Maker is not "crap". Its like the Paint Brush ; a program made
to perform basic video editing operations. It may be useful for beginners and
people that can't afford a professional program, like Adobe Premier.

If they were feature packed, rivaling other products, Microsoft would
get a lot of lawsuits . You must understand this point.
